We really wanted to tame Kieran's Mop- and make it into something with a style instead of what just grew out of his head and so that when he got his passport we would be able to find his ears!I had also been threatening Merenia with a haircut for a while as well because she often ends up with a dreadlock mat underneath. So we hit the Hairdresser a few weeks back and got them both sorted- I had a quiet word with her first to get her to take a bit more length off than Merenia was intending and also explained Kieran's position on hair 'styles' and ours in the hopes that she could find a happy medium.
Despite having an incredibly intense voice and being way too over-bearing and patronising to the kids she was a great hairdresser- and did exactly what we needed!
And the bonus was that after his big brother and sister had a haircut Will wanted to have one too....
He was so super good and did exactly what was needed a stark contrast to Kieran who had no hair till he was 2 and wriggled and squirmed and cried his way through the whole of his first cut and had to be seriously distracted and placated all through the subsequent cuts. He still to this day seems quite uncomfortable when he's in the chair.
Unlike Will who is the perfect client in miniature, except for that wicked double cow lick smack in the middle of his forehead!
