Just for a change we went to Starbucks in Browns Bay. We people watched. And we learned that the cupcake lady says the (almost exact) same thing to practically all of her customers. She comes across as quite sincere until you listen to her do it over and over again. Her cupcakes are pretty, but expensive. And she has been known to turn mean. But I digress. We enjoyed the people watching and we checked out the puppies in the petshop (I think) and walked along the street by the beach.
Then we went to spotlight and looked at scrapbooking stuff (for me) and fabric (for both of us) and patterns (for fun). Do I know anyone who is willing to sew me some summer dresses for cheap? Please.
Anyway my point is it'd been six months since I saw her and Yaya as we call her in our house has grown-up into this super awesome young lady. She very definitely is still a teenager. But you can see the adult she will be shining out and it's so cool. I felt proud (which is weird because it's not like I had anything to do with it!) And she rocks at funny.... not intentionally clown style but just dead pans some really funny stuff about her life! Very cool.
And a shameless plug for any of my local readers she sells Avon- so if you use any of their stuff (love their lipbalm) let me know and I'll hook you up.
