The great room change around

So as you may or may not already know I spent the new year swapping the kids rooms around. It was a mission and a half especially with little Mr Helper-Boy hanging around but great to get done.

Having the rooms completely clear meant that the rooms got cleaned to within an inch of their lives- cleanest they've been since before we moved in.

And we had the opportunity to look at EVERY item of treasure and junk they had and purge, purge, purge!

The down side was that it took over the house for a few days.

She also had the most mould.....

We cleared out Kieran's room first (as he was away at Jakes).

And then moved Merenia's gear in...

They both got new book cases in the process (Merenia got 2!)

Their new rooms look great and are working out well. I think Kieran is possibly happier with the new room than he was with the old. Even before we got the Wireless Internet connected. I am so proud of them both for the amount of stuff they decided to clear out. Some of it was just plain rubbish, but we passed on and recycled as much as possible. I think one of the best parts other than expanding Alyssa's wardrobe was passing on all the good nick soft toys to a lady who collects them for children who are in the foster care system. The final stage was of course moving Will out of our room and into his new room that he shares with his sister. He's still in his cot but I think he might move to a big boys bed soon, especially as he makes a big noise when he wakes in the morning so he can be uplifted from his cot.
