10 Years Old

Saskia turned 10 yesterday. We celebrated in the usual manner which starts with everyone taking taking the day off. We had our fave french toast with Maple Syrup and cream for breakfast.

And then headed over to Browns Bay to buy our balloons. Everyone chose their own colours and the kids all got one to send and one to keep. We went and got Starbucks.

And had a look around the shops- Will's favourite was the pet shop and my favourite was the chance to look around Ike's properly without having to worry about Will (Les took him off to check out some other stuff).

We grabbed some delicious hot chips for lunch.

We saw some cool sights as we headed for home.

We would normally send off our balloons at the beach but there was a strong on shore wind so we decided to leave them till we got home. Circustances meant that it was almost dark when we finally sent them off but the wind was such that we wouldn't have been able to see them for long anyway.

We got a new game (Size Matters) while we were at B Bay and Les and the kids played it before bedtime while I was feeding Will. All in all it was a nice day- even if we forgot to write out the birthday cards.
