Out and About: Ellenbrook and Beelu

What to do when it's a super hot Wednesday and you've got nowhere to be?
Grab a friend and run round like a crazy at the Ellenbrook water playground.
I think these pictures were from March we took Leon and Michelle and headed north from home to check out the water playground with a Picnic. It was pretty empty being a weekday and term time so the boys were able to fully let loose and had heaps of fun.

After we had our lunch they had another quick run around and then we headed for home via Beelu National Park.

Gumtrees for as far as the eye can see- which is cool because I like Gum trees and it was super pretty. They have a camping area up there which is pretty basic but has all the essentials: Loos, hot showers, shared fridge, camp kitchen, BBQ's and Picnic Tables. But what I liked is that they have Camp Ground Hosts. These people volunteer to be the first point of contact and welcoming committee to visitors to the park. They are trained volunteers who get to camp for free. Ours were an older couple who had a great conversation with the boys and just really nice. How cool would it be to jump in your caravan and go stay for free at a bunch of National Parks and meet heaps of interesting and I guess like minded people!? I realise not everyone's cup of tea but if I were retired I reckon that would be not too bad!

Super pretty, definitely taking Will back there sometime for more of an explore!
