Tiny Tales from Week 19

At some point in the early hours of this morning the power went out. This resulted in Will SCREAMING his head off. And me rushing through the dark and over the floor of lego torture to get him and bring him back to bed with Les and I. The big kids slept right through this. Tama did not. And so for the next couple of hours we had four in the bed. When we did finally get up it was still quite dark (our house is usually pretty dim anyway) so we had these little lights which are ex-life rafts due to obseletion to eat breakfast with. And candles and torches for lunch making.  It was kind of fun. And the power was restored by the time we got back from the school run.

Tama is big on dressing and undressing himself lately. He usually gets his pants around the right way and his top wrong... this day they were both wrong. :-)

Kieran has been assigned to a Year 7/8 team to umpire for Hockey. I'm pretty stoked that he is giving back to the club especially as some weeks he needs to be up and ready to go earlier than he would on a school day. And lucky for him and rather unexpectedly he's also getting paid by his team for each game.

Love this massive cloud formation that I spotted at Hockey... kind of a pity the lights were directly in the way.

Not the best morning ever. This was Tama both times.

And this was Will in the process of trying to get something out of the cupboard he didn't move this (my favourite cup) out of the way.

Just hanging out.

He's been big on reading lately and also spelling- and he's very good at both.
