Sixteen and a quarterly update

So the little boy is now a whole one and a quarter.

He weighs... 9.9kg
He measures...77cm
He has 8 teeth.

Will can....

• Do fast crawling
  
• Stand alone
• Walk a few steps unassisted
• Get up on the furniture
• go down stairs etc backwards (instead of head first which was quite nerve wrecking).
• Open the cupboards in the lounge and make a big mess!
• Switch off the computer and switch on the dishwasher.
  
• Say quite a few words when the mood suits him.
• Make cool plane and jet noises.
  
• Understand a HUGE amount of stuff including what he's not supposed to do.
  

(He does this thing where he gets the remote control and takes the back off and gets the batteries out. He doesn't care about the batteries until I come to get them at which point there is a mad scrabble where he shoves them in his mouth and laughs!)

Will loves...

(He often says MMMMMMMmmm! when we talk about the things he likes

Will....

• Still wakes 1-2 times a night- but doesn't have a drink now till after 6am
  
• Is transitioning to one daytime sleep in his bed around 1pm
  
• Goes down for the night around 7:30pm
• Wakes between 6:30 and 7:30am sometimes as late as 8am :-)
• Still settles a bit for the Buzzy Bee Song
  
• Cry's when mummy leaves the room and follows me to the toilet
• No longer has a dummy at all- phew!
• Has a policy about words... 'Why use lots, when you can just use one?': That.
  As in "see that", "want that", "what's that", "gimme that", "That's Dad", "Take that" and so on- who knew you could say That so many times and in so many ways! He does actually have some other words but he wouldn't want to waste them so uses them sparingly. Notable ones of late: Triangle, Circle, Star, can you guess what we've been doing and reading??
