Tiny Tales from Week 51

Twas the week before Christmas and lots was going on.
We said goodbye to the teachers who next year maybe gone.

We made funny faces and stuck out our tongues,
And one more lesson delivered from the old to the young.

We played in the bath got wet and had fun.
The next day at school was a celebratory one.

As one day early he celebrated being six
with a card and something special from Mrs M's box of tricks.

Mrs Mulligan expressed all their hopes and their joys,
Then he passed round macarons to the girls and the boys.

Fond farewell photos taken with people most sweet,
Staying awake given up, post excitement and heat.

The uniform was brought and folded with care.
We found this boy in the kitchen, bakin he did dare.

For a feast mini pumpkin pies were made with success.
Then we made the last drive to school with this crowd and our guest.

At home for the birthday we made a fine chocolate cake.
Must have tuckered him out again, oh for goodness sake.

At school Mrs M explained the memory book.
And 'twas Will's one she used for example and a look.

A bag full of goodies gave to every kid.
Then head off to the leaving ceremony they did.

With every child there a tunnel was made 'twas very cool.
As through it travelled all the year 7's on their very last day at LP school.

And then the parents did the same for the preprimary crew.
Because Mrs Mulligan likes to make a special to do.

As she farewells the children from the pre-primary class.
Next year they're in big kids school for the year has now past.

At home he enjoyed presents of the birthday kind.
There's more photos to come, just keep that in mind.

A blurry photo of the big boy going out to dinner.
Twas Italian, I heard the pizza was a winner.

The next day at Carousel was had a shopping trip to buy,
All their presents for family, find something special? They'll try.

And after, the choices and selections abound.
So many toppings at the frozen yoghurt place are found.

Then onto a play on the playground, was fun.
Then they took Peppa pigs car out for a run.

In the drive through they advertised something on the rail,
No thanks we've got one, and she's not going to be posted up for sale.

December brings with it mini album making time.
I sat at my table making photos and paper look fine.

In the garage using paper he made at school,
Will wrapped his presents and made them look cool.

The weather was hot as is usual in Perth,
So water was had with some fun and some mirth.

Mr Whippy drove by in his musical truck.
And into some ice creams we all did tuck.

I think you may find these photos are rude.
But when it's really hot Ice cream is nice in the nude!

Christmas was coming we needed lots of food.
So we got it delivered by this Woolworths dude.

We got some fresh mango and mixed up a smoothie,
which, when he drank it, made this guy look groovy.

In this lead up to Christmas there is much that is needed.
And their wishes for their stockings was something I heeded.

Twas the night before the night before Christmas
And as for my poem here's how I will end this
