Hi all, sorry for the large gaps between information getting out of France but net connections around here are not the best.
Team NZ are having a good time and representing with honours.
In the first round at 8 am yesterday we had a couple of short flights but since then we have been going well.
Landings have been fairly consistent and we are making our flight times, which is more than some can say. At times the rounds are easy with large areas of lift the only problem is stopping the model climbing out of sight, and at others lie todays rd7 there is a world of hurt in the air. Luckily we came through rd 7 unscathed and after doing some sums tonight we can proudly say that the NZ team is currently leading the world championships, about 20 points back to Lithuania and then another 100 or so back to Germany. Still 5 rounds to go but we are happy with our air calling and flying so far.
Our towers and tow line are the best out there, we are usually top of the heap after the launch which is a great advantage, and Joes calling has been spot on when really needed.
We've had our share of luck too with Les's primary light Supra surviving unmarked from a mid air which destroyed another model.
Thanks for all the support from back home and of course to our sponsors who helped us get here.
Be assured we are working our hardest to ensure we come home with another medal and podium finish, and will try to get info out more often. However its a little tricky after 14 hour days at the field.
Its midnight, we're off to bed.
Many thanks,
The NZ F3J Team 2010.
