Tiny Tales from Week 38

Tama wasn't entirely convinced that Les was back to stay and wondered if he was going back to NZ everyday that he headed off to work. So we went down and had some morning tea with him at work.

And then we went and grabbed my photos and some shopping at Belont.

On the way home we took a tiki tour to see if we could get closer to the big drill that is working at the Highway construction site that is quite close to Les' work. As we were searching we found a hire firm with a stack of Tama's favourite things.

We learned that this is a Padfoot Roller.

And we saw a rather unorthodox way of putting a tractor on a truck when the ramp is unavailable.
Tama seems to have a knack of landing at sites and places just when the action is interesting.

There are multiple sites on 3 different Highways on the way from Les' work to home... it's pretty exciting... masses of machines and different types of building... bridges, ramps, road widening, tunnels and all sorts.

Tama loves his new wallet.

600 or so new photos.... inspiration abounds.

Doing physics in the sandpit.... gravity, water falls and so on.

Robert came for a visit - which led to Will being caught both in a lie and also red handed with some cash that wasn't his. I dobbed him into school on Monday.

It just made me laugh.

Merenia's team played their Grand Final and while they were strong they had too many misses at the goal and so ended up in second place for the year.

On Sunday Les took the kids to Par 3 Indoor Golf.

On Monday Tama and I went to Ikea for Stools and serviettes.... and apparently a bunch more that we needed. :-) We shared a plate of meatballs and a chocolate mousse.... yum.

The Bar stools were for the bench because I rearranged the house... moving the school cupboard and the making table to the main living room. We shifted the dining table 90 degrees and across the room. And I thought it would be cool to give the boys the option to eat breakfast at the bench. We have some cool outdoor armchairs in the garage and I think they'll go into the space on the right hand side of the photo. So we can pull them out to the courtyard when it's a sunny day.
