Tiny Tales from Week 37

This week Les extended his stay in NZ till the weekend. And the wheels really began to fall off. Tama and I had an adventure down to Melville. Where he purchased popcorn all by himself.

We happily signed up to the Community Kindy this week when it was brought home to me just how much a school based Kindy is not for us- even one as lovely as Will's school.

Synchronised Somersaults.

Pleasing puzzling.

Pictures and portraits.

I tried to get some work done on the photography class I signed up for before I knew Les was going to NZ.

Fun numbers.

Distracted at dinner time.

Purchased a replacement.

Art co-operative.

Fun co-operative.

We went to the Fremantle Hockey Club Grounds to take photos of the 40's and 50's Grand Finals games. The boys quickly hooked up with some of the other kids. Scored Pizza Boxes from the skip bin and proceeded to have a rip roaring good time for a very long time. They were filthy, exhausted, hungry but very happy.

That night Les got home and there was a sigh of relief all-round. The next day was delayed Father's Day. The little boys delivered lots of loot. While the big kids slept through it all having not even bothered to write in their fathers day cards in the three days previously that they sat on the bench.

Tama 'read' out what he had 'written' in the card- it was an adorable sentiment.

The weather has been more consistently nice lately and so T and I have spent more time outside. We sorted the sandpit last week and took stock of the construction plant. Tama counted 16... I got 22. :-) And that's just the outside ones.

Tama is starting to now the service desk ladies at Woolworths by name- and certainly they know his. He likes to get 50 cents when we are checking out and take it to the counter and swap for 5 cent pieces which he then delightedly puts in the wishing well.

10:30pm... I was coming to bed. :-)
