Either side of Merenia's school there are paddocks I'm not sure how much longer they will be there once the motorway is finished I think the land will be developed into something crappy and horrible. But in the meantime the fence line is totally over grown with Blackberry vines which Will and I discovered the first day of term 1. We waited patiently for the berries to come and then ripen and then we adventured up with bowl in hand to do some picking. We used them for smoothies. (Should have made a blackberry and apple pie too but didn't get around to it!)
