Round-up~ March 2011

On our bookshelf this month....
For me: Janet Evanovich's: 6 through 14 Plus Plum Lucky, Plum Spooky, Visions of Sugar Plums and Manhunt. Plus I just started on Brene Brown's Book; I thought it was just me.
Will was happy to get Daisy All-sorts by Pamela Allen and is enjoying a book about planes from the library.
Merenia is on a Jacqueline Wilson bender.
Kieran has started reading Robert Muchamore's Cherub series.
Les finished a book about the conflict in the Middle East that he's been reading for ages!
Loving on the box....
The Good Wife (Me), Glee (Everyone), Almighty Johnsons (Les), Sesame Street and The Wiggles (Will).
Plus lots of News watching after the Japan Quake and Tsunamis.
For you...For me?
St Pat's day treats for Les and Miss Yap. And a birthday Present for Merenia friends Emma.

Germs and bugs and botherations....
Les had a cortisone injection to try and sort the ongoing issues he's had with his foot. Will got wicked carpet burn playing rough with K. K was home sick with a cold. I had an infection and all of the sudden gained a stack of weight meaning that for the first time this pregnancy I am bigger than when I started.
Today was good today was fun, tomorrow is another one...

Les had a Golf Tournament, attended the Hibiscus Coast MAC Open day and despite having to work a Sunday, I think, enjoyed packing Chutes for Jump Start which is a Parachute Jumping Exercise for kids with cancer. Kieran spent the day with Jake at the Soapbox Derby. And Merenia went to her friend Emmas Birthday party.

Yum, yum, yum....

I made Cinnamon Apple Slice- one of my favourites! For Pi day we had a Chicken Cottage Pie and Lemon Meringue Pie. I had an Irish Cream Frap for St Patricks Day and tried the new Espresso Frap as well. Feijoas straight from the tree. Fresh picked Blackberries in Smoothies. Cheese on Toast Experiments.

'It was on sale'....

I got some new clothes- yay shorts and T-shirts. We brought a cool kids gardening book and Daisy All-sorts by Pamela Allen. And picked up some cool stuff on Trade me including stamps, a new corner rounder and some cool doily papers.

Bugger!

Obviously the biggest bummer for the world this month was the huge tragedy in Japan! Closer to home we had a fairly expensive WOF for the Mother Trucker, Kieran lost his wallet (but luckily got it back- scoring Will scored a trip to the very exciting bus station). TVNZ changed Kidzone to 2 hours in the morning rather than all day and replaced it with some crappy arse channel for unemployed Bebo fans with names like Chanel and Darren- which doesn't even start till lunch time!!  We didn't watch it all day but the luxury of being able to chuck it on when a bit of chill out time was needed was great. Netball has been a bit of a fiasco- we went to trials at WUNC but all three girls are in different teams with practices at different times- leaving us unable to transport Petra and Merenia finishing too close to St Johns start- and me entertaining two preschoolers for even longer! So Petra left the club to play for Whenuapai School and it looks like M and Teagan will be doing the same for Hobsonville (which should make life on Tuesday afternoon (and Saturday mornings) about 50 million times better so maybe this is actually hooray).

Hooray!

Getting my design team stuff done for Caz Dezign was a relief. Finding Kieran's Wallet. Les winning a cool charger at the Model Club Day. Getting to do the St Patricks Day Blackboard at Starbucks- cool! Finishing 21st albums for a client on time.

Etc...

Everyone in our family did the 2 minutes silence for Christchurch- I was stoked that the kids schools both did it, the whole of Base stopped and I would have loved to have seen it at Kindy. Lots of Scrapbooking done this month. Merenia had a parent conference at school.

You know who's good idea this was? Katie The Scrapbook Lady. Go check out her list of tasks to do at the end of each month as well.
