Netball- The Final

Saturday Merenia's team, The Western United Firebirds, competed in the final for their grade against the Arahoe Mystics. The game was intense to say the least- the Mystics have quite an aggressive style, both the parents on the side lines and the players- I think it was quite intimidating for the girls. Their goal defender in particular was pretty full-on and probably should have got called up a few more times than she did. The team played this side a few weeks ago in the rounds and lost 12 -8 this time around another loss the score was 12 -4. After the game there was a prizegiving at Waitakere Netball- unfortunately we have to rush off for Warkworth so Merenia has yet to get her second place medal.
