Familiar places: TAKE PHOTOS NOW

These photos were taken before Tama was born. The room changed again after he came along. We added in a small basket of baby toys and the change table, we headed into winter so the fireguard went up and a few weeks later the potty became a regular feature on our landscape.
I wish I'd had the forethought to do another week in the life project this year- we've seen huge changes in our routine before Tama came along- two new schools and kindy in the mix- life looks quite different than last year. And of course the second half of the year will be different again. I wonder what it would have looked like had we taken the other paths.... we were offered a posting to Ohakea just before we got the Aussie job.

The thing is there are so many stories in these pictures about our life at this time- and it changes so fast and so seamlessly sometimes you don't see what aspects of your life you are leaving behind and what new things are coming in.

The bunks and the shelves are now gone to new homes and someone elses story. The change table accommodates a smaller cuter bottom and at the moment it's all sitting in a contained waiting like we are to find a new home and start the next chapter of our life story.

So it's a simple lesson- take photos now.
