Round-up~ May 2011

On our bookshelf this month....
Gypsy: The gifts of Imperfection by Brene Brown. Lots of Healthy Food Guide Magazines and almost 4 Nexts (I was a bit behind). Les; The Story of Danny Dunn and some NZ War history type stuff. M: Lots of horse and fairy books ordered from the library. Will: Library books about Aircraft. Kieran:??
Loving on the box....
Survivor: Redemption Island, Life, Offspring, Tangle, Master Chef NZ and Aus, Glee, Project Runway, Amazing Race, Underbelly, Killing Time, Dr Who, The Good Wife, and Greys Anatomy.
For you...For me?
We got a pot of Bum chutney from Lisa who was over for scrapcamp. I got a badge and a specially decorated biscuit from Will for Mothers Day. We took in some books and magazines to the Antenatal waiting room at Waitakere Hospital. Started abandoning books via Bookcrossing.com

Germs and bugs and botherations....
Kieran had to have a root canal on his front tooth that he had injured some time ago. It failed to work as did the other possible solution so he will be getting a partial denture until he is a grown up and can have an implant.
Will had a hole in the roof of his mouth!! The Dr thought it was caused by a virus which also gave him a touch of deli belly. The hole fortunately cleared in about a week- but talk about freaky in the meantime.
Will also got a cold which he was kind enough to pass on to Kieran who got a mildish dose, Les whose was slightly worse and me who got a fairly decent hit.
I had various ailments relating to the fact I am way too pregnant for my own good- the most hard to bare of which is a semi constant rushing noise in my ear.
Today was good today was fun, tomorrow is another one...

We got cleared to go ahead and try for a VBAC. I got a great big box of Sassafras and also some other yummy scrappy stuff via trade me.

Yum, yum, yum....

The baby seems to be enamoured with Pineapple Lumps and Strawberry flavoured chocolate. I have also developed a fondness for the medicinal effects of Licorice. Will knows I have a stash of lollies and will often come ask me: "Do you have any Licorice?" To which I generally reply "No" and then he says "But I like Licorice" As if his fondness for it will make it materialise!

'It was on sale'....

We got the last of the Lego Mini Figures we needed. Will got new Gumboots and Track Pants for Kindy. We replaced our router because the old one broke. I did some digi shopping online on International Scrapbooking Day and some real scrapbook shopping on trade me.. Will got some sweet little foam planes 6 for $7 which have provided him with much entertainment.

Bugger!

Toilet training was another big failure. The Scan showed the baby to be heavy and have a big head.... ouch?? Les got a speed camera ticket for doing 55km/hr on the way home from the Wiggles concert on Easter Sunday. Our router broke and we thought is was Firefox 4 causing issues so Les wasted hours trying to sort it unsuccessfully. The laptop picked up a virus and Les spent more hours in the process of fixing it! Miss Wendy got a new job- in Hamilton.

Hooray!

Miss Wendy got a GREAT new job in Hamilton and found a great house as well.

Etc...

Emily and Teagan finished coming to ours due to a change in their circumstances. It was both sad and a bit of a relief not to have to factor them into our plans. Will is sad though that Emily won't be coming over any more.
Les had some new job related discussions but as yet nothing is happening.

You know who's good idea this was? Katie The Scrapbook Lady. Go check out her list of tasks to do at the end of each month as well.
