During the day we made a Stockley favourite from way back- Greens Chocolate Mud Cake. And Les cooked a super awesome Roast Pork for Lukes Fake Birthday dinner.
After dinner we had the cake another event eagerly anticipated by Will.
Will conducted us in a rousing round of 'Happy Birthday to You"
And then it happened....
While it looks like he is about to blow out the candles in the image above what he actually did was 'wave' them out with his hands. After which there was a huge pause as we all realised just what had happened and all wondered if Will was going to handle this unexpected turn of events (it's not good to change things up on a hyped 4 year old). There was a long silence and the moment just hung in the air so thick you could have cut it with a cake knife. Then Will said his breathlessness betraying his total admiration for Luke...
"That was cool!"
And it was a perfect ending to a perfect fake birthday.
