This Week on the web...

I thought this story about a 1000 year old antibiotic was interesting and kind of cool.

A brave heart surgeon swims against the tide... it might be starting to turn.

Confessions of an Idiom- short film, fun!

A couple of books I want to check out The Big Fat Surprise  and Mistakes were Made.

Teacher Tom's Imagine that Transformation is a good read and a good reminder about what we have become and what we can hope to be.

I really liked this- Food Babe is a great example of how people can purport to use the internet for good and really just stuff a whole bunch of their own issues and fear down peoples throats implying that they're using science.

This is a handy dandy little reference for learner photographers.

I love that the concept of school readiness is being turned on it's head in Ontario- in fact schools are getting ready for the needs of Kindergarteners, as it should be.

Giving the long term homeless homes saves money and lives!

This explains a lot about the differences in the kids behaviour at our place based on who is doing the bulk of the parenting at the time!

Sigh... I needed this one- yelling is happening all too much around here and squealing and screaming is both the trigger and result- both of which are mentally debilitating..

I thought this take on two sides of New Zealand Culture as illustrated by the Campbell Live Saga was interesting and felt like it had a lot of truth in it for me.

A nice little read about a man, scrapbooking, sport, fifty years ago.

I might just be a little bit in love with these shoes.... the only thing that really sucks about them other than the $85 price I don't have would be choosing which pair to get first! They are all from Pimpos.

This handbag is from the same place... that's a real handbag, looks like a cartoon right?
