'Getting Down in WA'
Actually that's not at all true- I like my blog just the way it is but I do expect that over the next couple of months as we experience some major changes in our lives there will be some interruptions to our regularly scheduled programming. Obviously we have the arrival of our newest small person looming on the horizon and what will feel like a very short space of time after that we are heading off to the Wild West of Australia to start a new life in Perth.
It's funny because everyone is saying 'OH how exciting!" and other variations on that theme. And while we agree it is a huge opportunity, a great adventure and a whole world of new experiences- we're not quite at the excited stage yet as we stand at the bottom of a huge mountain of 'stuff' to do and as yet the path is not even close to exposed especially as it does depend somewhat on the method and timing of the arrival of the small person.
We will be offloading a bunch of stuff on trade me and on the blog over the next month or so- so keep an eye out and give us a yell if you want something! By the way anyone want an awesome cat? She's too furry to cope with the WA heat and finding a rental that allows pets in Perth is akin to finding a needle in a haystack.
Likewise if we borrowed something off you or you borrowed something of us- now is the time to let us know/give it back. I'm still missing two sets of Outrageous Fortune Discs? Series 3 & 4 anyone???
At this stage we don't have catch up plans but of course do hope to see as many people as possible in the time allowing whilst still respecting our Babymoon tradition of spending those first precious weeks together as a new family of 6 (six- holy cow!!) getting to know our new person and taking it easy on ourselves.
More details as they come to hand... perhaps a guest post or two from Les?

Wow Congratulations!
What a huge/daunting/exciting prospect! (I vividly remember the no where near as massive but felt like it at the time move to the south island with a 4 month old)
I hope everything works itself out just right (it generally seems to, doesn't it?) and I just kept reminding myself 'Nothing ventured, nothing gained!'
