Ruby is not very happy.
She's trying to deny it and just hide her head in her paws.
But she's resigned to the fact that with a coat like this she's going to be no good in the Perth spring or autumn let alone the summer.... and the idea of ticks makes her sick. And then there's the fact that all the rentals we have looked at have said: "NO PETS!"
So even though she's great with kids and babies she can't come to Australia with us and rather urgently needs a new family to love her just as much as we do, any takers?

I can't help with Ruby unfortunately , but saw your post for a '3 year old friend' and wondered if you were indeed still looking?
Oh, Miss Chicken- that's sad on two accounts- I'm sure our cat would love to live with someone by the name of Chicken! And it's always great to have new friends but the reason we need to rehome the cat is that we are off to Perth in about 4 weeks. So we will indeed be looking just not here in Auckland any more.
