Party!

Will didn't have a party for his birthday this year but he did get to go to a party a couple of days beforehand. He had the honour of being the only PP invited to his Kindy/Hockey friend Hamish's Super Hero Themed 5th birthday.

The kids had the option of going dressed as super heroes. Will went in his regular clothes and introduced himself as Peter Parker (Spiderman's alter ego).

Hamish's big brothers are both around  Kieran's ago and they play together on the same team. Austin also helps out with Hook into Hockey so Will knows them well enough. It was very funny to watch him have a conversation with them like he was also a 15 year old.
"So how have you been man?"
"What have you been up to on the weekend?"

The kids were sent on a quest to become superheroes. Having to complete a bunch of tasks to recieve their certification.

The last task, Will's fave, involved pelting Austin and Lachlan with water balloons.

I love these little super hero lolly pops!

Tiny Tales from Week 49

This week Merenia gave us the full preview of her Graduation outfit so that the hairdresser could see what she was dealing with. Not too shabby. :-)

We won our biggest ever lottery prize!

And then had it all swallowed up 5 times over because of this.

At least it was entertaining!

We measured our height in fridge magnets.

And knocked the recycling down to size. Bit by tiny bit.

A bit of the usual.

And some superb sunset watching at Summer Hockey Mk 1.

Some fun and games.

Writing Christmas cards for Pixie Post at school.

More fun and games!

And we seriously got our Christmas on- toddler proof style!

Super heroes overdressed for the Perth summer abounded.

The sweet peas blessed us with a second flush of flowers.

And some one in dire need of a dye job read Christmas Stories to the kids.

We turned into early morning commuters as the issues with the car dragged on.

Did I say car... I meant CARS! Flat tyre on Les' car on Sunday required two new ones to replace it!

At least things were a lot prettier at school where they made a combination of natural and commercial material trees in the sandpit- COOL IDEA!

 It was an exhausting week.

Mid week Wonderful ~ 8/1/14

I'm grateful for... Les, Merenia and Kieran working so hard to get the old house exit inspection ready.

I'm thankful to be inspired by... living in a new spot

I'm savouring....being surrounded by trees..

I'm loving... the sounds in our new neighbourhood.

I'm looking forward to.... being completely unpacked and organised.

Playdough for Christmas

Our playdough was getting pretty old so we decided to update it for Christmas. We made a double batch and sent some to school for Will's class as well. Candy Cane flavoured Red- with peppermint oil.

Christmas Spice Green with nutmeg, ginger and cinnamon.

And Golden Orange with orange oil.
Tama playing with the old playdough while he waited for the new to be ready.

Love adding glitter in for a festive look to match the festive smell. We also made chocolate playdough as well- a different recipe to the others it's so good soft and silky smooth and smells just like chocolate.
