Diesel

Kieran's best friend Jake lives on a nice country property and they have 2 dogs Tess and Diesel. Will in particular, but Merenia also, won't pass up a chance to go and catch up with their favourite K9 pal. Every time we drive even in the vague direction of Jakes Will always says "See Diesel, see Diesel??"

This is Diesel, Tess must have been a little camera shy this day. But she isn't shy about jumping in our car to come for a ride and she can be quite the unmovable object when she does!

Big Burger, Small Boy

We all had takeaways recently and I as totally blown away by the fact that Les brought Will his own biggish burger. He practically had to hug it to himself to hold on to it! But her certainly made a decent effort and nearly finished it before it disintegrated in his grip. Definitely only a sometimes food.

Weeds and Wildflowers

I went out and took some photos of the motorway building site when it was all quiet over the holidays while the site and the earth works were awesome but there was some other stuff on the periphery perhaps even cooler....

A block of firewood from the shed, 4 screws from the odds and ends drawer and a $1 screwdriver from Mitre 10.....

The Things You Do

I should have realised it was too quiet. Will was with Mira's in her room. He was desperate to play with the cash register. She was desperate for something else. So they struck a deal. She got what she wanted....

Then he finally got the cash register!

Reverse Meals

On the second last day of school we got up early and had our dinner for breakfast before heading off to work and school.

This is Will's cute little BLT.

Then at dinner time we all had our favourite....

... breakfast cereal!

Sleep Under

Another lead-up activity was a tree sleep-under. We were joined by Jake for this one. The kids watched Survivor and then a movie which meant they were up quite late... handy because it meant they fell asleep fast!

Floor Picnic

In the run up to Christmas we did a plethora of cool and silly stuff to get into silly season mode and just generally have some fun together.

We had a floor picnic it was intended to be an outdoor dinner but the weather wasn't playing! We had chicken munchies and wedges with sour cream and sweet chilly sauce, one of the kids faves.

And Ambrosia for pudding- Yum!

You know those american movies where the rich people have a big pool and the Mom who is generally a 'MILF' type chickee or the teenage daughter hangs out by the pool watching while the pool boy does his job. Sometime during the process he takes some water and runs it through his hair to cool himself down looking all hot and not at all bothered. This is NOT one of those. But it does have a pool and a cute boy. And it's completely innocent.

I hope you are having a cool time at Jakes! What movie did you go see? Did you stay up late for New Years Eve? Happy New Year by the way and the same to Karen, Joe and Jake! It's going to be an aweseme one for you considering it's your last year at primary school! You are going to Japan and you've got a new bedroom! On the subject of the new bedroom (did you like that segway?) how does this suit you for the layout??

Merenia was sick for the last few days of school she had some weird fever, tummy bug with extreme tiredness. Les had a sore back.The kids both had dentist appointments.

Today was good today was fun, tomorrow is another one...

Far too many to write down here but the highlights include; Christmas Day, Mixed-up dinner, Year 8 Graduation including Elliot's Speech, Team 1 Water Fun Day, Village Green, Base Christmas Party, AucklandSoar BBQ at Ambury, BBQ at Aneils place, lounge picnic, Breakers Game with Jake, Kumeu Christmas Parade, Team 3 Kiwi Valley Trip, Reverse meals, Kevin and Sally's Wedding, Merenia's Team Assembly, Will's Birthday and a sleepover under the Christmas Tree.

Yum, yum, yum....
